Mondadori Store arrives in Chieri (Turin) with a sales point inside Il Gialdo Shopping Centre.

The new bookstore, which will be inaugurated tomorrow, will join the other 48 stores in Piedmont, including directly managed stores and franchises.

The largest network of bookstores in Italy is thus expanding its network, with the aim of spreading culture and promoting reading with reference points in the area for all book and entertainment lovers.

“I have always had a great interest in the city of Chieri and a few months ago, thanks to the help of Mondadori Retail, I was able to bring to life this new adventure that is about to begin,” says Gabriele Quassolo, Mondadori Store affiliate. “Our goal is to bring a young bookshop to the city that looks at young people, without clearly neglecting the most important sectors, such as novels, crime fiction and current affairs,” adds Quassolo, who brings with him longstanding experience in the world of books. “My parents began working with Mondadori Retail 20 years ago, opening a Mondadori Point in Settimo Torinese, which I took over 3 years ago, expanding the offering by moving to larger spaces,” he concludes.

The new Mondadori Bookstore extends over a surface area of 130 square metres with a catalogue of over 14,000 titles, from the great classics to best sellers, including fiction, with ample space for romance and fantasy genres, as well as international and non-fiction. Particular attention is paid to younger readers with the We are Junior format, which includes educational games and illustrated books to stimulate their imagination with the most curious stories, and the Just Comics section dedicated to the phenomenon of manga and comics. To expand the bookstore’s offerings, there are also areas dedicated to #BookTok for new generations of readers, in addition to those reserved for stationery.

The Mondadori Bookstore in Il Gialdo Shopping Centre is also available to readers online: customers can be updated via the Instagram page. Furthermore, they will be able to get in touch with the bookstore through the digital services of Mondadoristore.it to check the availability of a book, order it, pick it up in store or have it shipped to their home, choosing from a catalogue of over 1 million titles. The bookstore also offers telephone ordering services to all customers.

The new Mondadori Bookstore is part of the renewal and ongoing development plan of Mondadori Store, the largest network of bookstores in Italy, with over 500 points of sale spread from large cities to smaller towns. A cultural presence active throughout the country, online with the e-commerce site Mondadoristore.it and the book club formula, through a proposal that combines books – always at the centre of their offering – with entertainment experiences, events and multi-channel services, reaching over 20 million customers every year.
